Terms of Use

Effective date: October 17, 2026. Last updated: October 17, 2026.

These Terms of Use apply when you visit or use LegacyMemoryBook.com. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What the site provides

Legacy Memory Book publishes educational information about planning, creating, preserving, digitizing, sharing, and caring for memorial scrapbooks, memory books, photographs, stories, and keepsakes. The site does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, tax, conservation-treatment, or funeral-directing services.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether guidance is appropriate for your materials, family, circumstances, budget, privacy needs, and location. Back up important files, work from copies when practical, test methods on non-unique materials, follow manufacturer instructions, and consult a qualified conservator or other professional when an original is valuable, fragile, damaged, irreplaceable, or outside your experience.

Intellectual property

Unless a page says otherwise, the site’s original text, design, illustrations, downloadable resources, and compilation are owned by or licensed to Legacy Memory Book and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view, print, or save a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, sell, systematically extract, train a commercial dataset on, remove attribution from, or create a competing compilation from site content without written permission.

Rights in photographs, quotations, letters, documents, product names, trademarks, and third-party material remain with their respective owners. A reference or link does not transfer those rights.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law; interfere with security or availability; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the service; impersonate another person; collect personal information without authority; or submit material that infringes privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.

Third-party products and links

The site may link to products, services, archives, tools, and other websites. Third parties control their own content, prices, availability, privacy practices, terms, and performance. A link is not a guarantee or endorsement of every claim on the destination. Review current vendor terms before sending irreplaceable originals, uploading private family material, starting a subscription, or making a purchase.

Affiliate relationships

Some links may compensate Legacy Memory Book if you make a qualifying purchase. The article will disclose that relationship before affected recommendations. Compensation does not change the evaluation criteria, and a vendor may be included without an affiliate relationship or excluded despite offering one. See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.

No warranties

The site and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Legacy Memory Book does not promise that content is complete, error-free, continuously available, suitable for every material or family, or capable of preserving an item or file for a particular period. Product features, policies, prices, and availability change.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Legacy Memory Book is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including loss of originals, files, access, data, revenue, or emotional distress. Applicable law may not allow every exclusion or limitation; rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes and availability

The site may correct, update, remove, or change content and these terms. The current version and its date will appear on this page. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply from their effective date, subject to applicable law.
