About Legacy Memory Book and Our Editorial Standards
Legacy Memory Book is an independent editorial publication for people making memorial scrapbooks, memory books, photo books, and closely related family keepsakes. It exists to turn an emotionally large project into smaller, safer decisions: what to gather, what to copy, how to record context, which format fits, and what the next person will need to know.
We are not a grief-therapy, medical, legal, conservation, funeral, or archival-treatment provider. Our grief-adjacent guidance stays connected to the book-making task and does not promise healing or closure. Fragile, valuable, contaminated, or historically significant materials may need assessment by a qualified conservator.
How guides are researched
Preservation guidance prioritizes primary institutional sources, manufacturer documentation, and clearly identified limits. Product comparisons begin with reader-fit criteria such as privacy, export, reversibility, accessibility, support, cancellation consequences, and total cost. Vendor claims are labeled as vendor claims. We do not describe a product as personally tested unless a dated test record exists.
Affiliate relationships
Some guides may contain affiliate links. If a purchase through one of those links may earn Legacy Memory Book a commission, the disclosure appears before the affected recommendations. Commission does not determine inclusion or ranking, and a guide must remain useful if every affiliate link is removed.
Corrections and updates
Prices, program terms, product ownership, and service features can change. Material corrections are made in the article body, and a meaningful update date is shown when the substance—not merely punctuation—changes.
