Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026. Last updated: October 17, 2026.
Legacy Memory Book respects the sensitivity of family stories, photographs, and grief-related reading. This policy explains information handled when you visit LegacyMemoryBook.com and when you request the monthly editorial newsletter.
Information handled by the website
Web hosting and security systems process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information, response status, and security events. Access is limited to operating, securing, diagnosing, and maintaining the publication.
The site uses Google Tag Manager and may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate readership and improve its guides. These services may receive page, device, browser, referrer, approximate-location, and interaction information. Browser controls and applicable consent choices can limit this collection.
Newsletter and forms
The newsletter form collects an email address, an explicit consent choice, the request source, and limited technical information such as IP address used for abuse prevention. FluentCRM stores the subscription record on the website. Amazon SES delivers confirmation and editorial messages, and Cloudflare routes replies sent to [email protected].
Consent is unchecked by default. A request remains pending until the address is confirmed by email. Confirmed subscribers receive one practical editorial email each month and can unsubscribe or manage preferences from any message. Open and click tracking is not enabled. Subscriber records are kept while a subscription is active and may be retained in a minimal suppression or consent record after an unsubscribe when needed to honor that choice, prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation.
Affiliate links
Some articles may contain clearly disclosed affiliate links. Following one may allow the vendor or affiliate network to set or read identifiers and attribute a later purchase. The site does not receive a reader’s payment-card details from those vendors. Review the linked service’s privacy information before continuing.
Information you choose to provide
Information you send by email may include your name, email address, message, and any material you attach or describe. Do not send irreplaceable originals, confidential estate documents, medical records, account credentials, or private information about another person unless the site specifically requests it and explains a secure, authorized purpose.
How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the site, measure content performance, answer a message, record newsletter consent, deliver requested editorial email, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce site terms. Legacy Memory Book does not sell subscriber email addresses, family stories, or personal materials sent in a message.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for the period reasonably needed for its stated purpose, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, backups, and honoring unsubscribe choices. Reasonable safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on location and applicable law, a person may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw newsletter consent. Use the unsubscribe or preference link in an email, or contact [email protected]. The publication may ask for reasonable verification before acting on a request.
Children
The site is written for adults and is not directed to children as an online service. Adults should avoid submitting a child’s identifying information or image without authority and careful consideration of long-term privacy. Guidance about children contributing to a family project does not invite children to create accounts or submit data to this site.
Third-party links and embedded content
External sites have their own privacy practices. Links, embedded media, analytics, email delivery, and affiliate services may process information under their own policies. Review those policies before providing information or making a purchase.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by a new date and, when required, additional notice or consent. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to [email protected] or through the Contact page.
